Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • Collate design documents and drawings

  • Attend in-house project kick off and close out meetings

  • Prepare and co-ordinate drawings

  • Review and understand project specifications and drawings

  • Understand and log project variations and material take off’s

  • Liaise with contractors and in-house project team

  • Carry out project related document control

  • Quality control inspections

Programme Aim

 

  • Develop and mentor graduates to achieve maximum effectiveness in their role

  • Develop, motivate and retain graduates for future projects within DSM Process Installations

 

The graduate will gain experience of working on site in a professional environment, the opportunity to work locally and nationally, exposure to all aspects of project development and execution. Mentoring from a professional and highly skilled team along with the opportunity to further your career with DSM Process Installations.

DSM are currently seeking candidates to join our expanding team for our 2024 Pipe Fitting Apprenticeship Program.

 

The apprenticeship involves 4 years of training on and off site.

The Person

​

  • The successful candidate must be diligent, punctual, be willing to work flexible hours and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • The minimum age at which the employment of an apprentice may commence is 16 years of age.

  • Will need a Valid Safepass Card

  • No experience necessary.

 

The Requirements

​

The minimum educational requirements are:

 

Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills leaving Certificate Examination or an approved equivalent,

 

or

 

The successful completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship course

 

or

 

Three years’ work experience gained over sixteen years of age in a relevant designated industrial activity as SOLAS shall deem acceptable
